It's Just a Flesh Wound

Another day of the Sri Lankan tour, another Australian injury. Marcus Stoinis is the latest in a long line after suffering from a side strain in the 1st ODI. Did side strains exist before professional cricket? Can you get a front strain? I’ve definitely heard of bottom strains. Stoinis joins Ashton Agar, Mitch Marsh, Mitchell Starc, Kane Richardson and Sean Abbott on the team stretcher. Suss much? I’m starting to wonder if some of the Australian A boys are behind this. I mean sometimes you have to make your own opportunities right? I’m hoping this means we see Travis Head and Cameron Green in the team although Green is being held back from bowling so that may be too many batsmen (can you ever have too many?). Matthew Kuhnemann is tipped to get a run although I thought Todd Murphy may get a look into the squad after bowling well in the current 4 day game between Australia A and Sri Lanka A. Oh and where’s Tim David?

Regardless it should be another fun ODI tonight with Sri Lanka poised for a win against a somewhat depleted Aussie outfit.
